Managing Partner

Andrew has extensive experience in all aspects of personal and corporate insolvency and advisory in Australia with over 21 years of experience gained working in two of Australia’s foremost corporate restructuring and advisory firms prior to establishing WCT Advisory.

Andrew has acted in a wide range of formal and informal appointments including Advisory engagements (advising Directors, Business Owners and Financiers), Receiverships, Voluntary Administrations, Liquidations, Deed of Company Arrangements, Personal Insolvency Arrangements, Statutory Trustee appointments and Bankruptcies.

Andrew has gained experience in cash flow and liquidity management, working capital analysis, real property management and sale, forecast financial reviews and performance improvement in various sectors. He has also been involved in a significant number of small personal and corporate formal appointments across a wide range of industries and geographical locations.

As a result of this experience, he has the ability to use creative strategies and resources to achieve commercial results for clients, especially in a distressed financial environment.

Andrew Weatherley

David has founded several restructuring businesses after identifying the limited professional resources and information being available to company owners/directors when confronted with the possibility of corporate insolvency. Since this time David has overseen and implemented the effective strategy to assist clients covering an extensive spectrum of industries.

David is a Chartered Accountant and former Liquidator, with over 40 years of experience in the turnaround and corporate recovery industry. David has been an industry leader in the implementation of corporate law reform in the insolvency field.

His experience includes two decades with corporate accounting firms Arthur Andersen and Grant Thornton where he was the first liquidator to return 100 cents in the dollar to creditors under the voluntary administration scheme when he used his turnaround skills on high profile hospitality company "Aromas".

David has also worked overseas in the United Kingdom, the USA and in Indonesia, where he founded a turnaround practice in Jakarta in 1998 during the Asian economic crisis working closely with local and international banks.

David Cassidy

Senior Manager

Matt is a qualified accounting professional who has worked in the corporate advisory and insolvency profession for over 16 years.  During that time, he acquired an in-depth understanding of both the corporate and personal insolvency frameworks, specialising in corporate advisory, finance, restructuring, turnaround and insolvency.  Matt’s technical knowledge and invaluable practical experience makes him well equipped to navigate and solve even the most complex of scenarios that may be faced by business owners or individuals. He is acutely aware of the unique pressures and impacts of financial distress and tackles all engagements head on.  Matt has managed countless formal insolvency appointments and informal advisory engagements and is focused on offering affordable, quality, solution driven advice and support that only comes with experience.

Matthew Flowers

Supervisor

Virginia joined WCT Advisory in January 2022, bringing with her over 4 years of experience in dealing with corporate and personal insolvency administrations, including Voluntary Administrations and Deed of Company Arrangements, Liquidations and Bankruptcies.

 Virginia has independently managed personal and corporate insolvency appointments across a broad range of industries including construction, hospitality, professional services, information technology, retail, and transport.

 She takes great pride in being detail-oriented and thinking outside the box in order to achieve the greatest result for stakeholders. Hailing from Macau and residing in Australia for over 11 years, she is a native Cantonese speaker and is also fluent in Mandarin.

Virginia Lao

Intermediate

Khaled is the newest addition to the WCT Advisory team, commencing in April 2022. He has recently graduated from a Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting) and is looking forward to commencing his studies to become a Chartered Accountant and ARITA certified. He has a background in accounts receivable, debt recovery and customer service at a large national company in the construction industry.

He is highly customer focused and strives to provide a tailored solution for all stakeholders. He has always had a strong interest in developing his skills in insolvency and restructuring, and has several years of experience in customer service, construction, engineering and the electrical trade.

Khaled was born in Egypt and moved to Australia in 2015 and is fluent in Arabic.

Wiljadi is the Founder and Managing Partner of Protemus Capital. Based in Jakarta Indonesia, he leads the firm by delivering new perspectives on business values and transactions.

He has more than 25 years of experience in the Corporate Finance and Transaction Support which focuses on Restructuring, Preparation and Exit Strategy.

Prior to establishing Protemus Capital, he started his career at Grant Thornton and became one of the South East Asia Regional Leaders of Recovery and Reorganisation. He subsequently joined RSM, and while working there, became one of the Asia Pacific Regional Corporate Finance Strategy Team.

Willy is often entrusted to lead a number of transactions in Southeast Asia and Cross Border Deals with values ​​ranging from US$30 million to more than US$100 million in various sectors such as oil and gas, banking, IT, manufacturing and e-commerce.

Willy and his firm provide WCT Advisory with advice and assistance with their Corporate Finance services and provides access to businesses and advisors throughout South East Asia for WCT Advisory’s clients.
